16 January 2018 Address Is someone moving house…or is it the ‘giving a speech’ sort of address? Or are they ‘addressing’ a wrong? Or wearing a dress? The choice is yours! 20 February 2018 Shop Is it a verb or a noun – going shopping or about a shop? Or maybe one of your characters has ‘shopped another one? Great fun! 20 March 2018 Nature Could be about the countryside and its inhabitants; could be about someone’s good or bad nature – or the nature of the universe! 17 April 2018 Quicksilver An enigmatic one – is it the metal or something quick and elusive? A character’s name, their disposition or something else entirely. See what you can do with this interesting word. 15 May 2018 Guide A person, a place or a map? Who is guiding whom – and is it successful? 19 June 2018 Material We’re all living in the material world, but are we material boys and girls? Or perhaps it can be interpreted as ‘something of importance or substance’? 17 July 2018 Cushion Could be a squishy thing adorning a sofa, or maybe your character is trying to ‘cushion’ another against an adverse happening? Or maybe the cushions are alive, or aggressive, or…! 21 August 2018 Picture Take inspiration from a picture; everyone has their favourite, or one they don’t like at all. Maybe a character is a photographer, or a painter? It’s all good! 18 September 2018 Drive This word has many meanings. The urge to get things done, a passion, or simply a countryside outing? A force for good or evil? Or a fleet-footed escape from a bank robbery? DRIVE…!!! 16 October 2018 Impression A mark, a footstep or a feeling. Is it fleeting or does it last forever?
