It's all happening!  To start the year, it was looking as if the group might close due to the Chair moving out of the area, then a decision was made that perhaps it could be saved by moving to quarterly meetings.  But a month on, it transpired that the Chair wouldn't be moving away after all, so now we're back to monthly meetings!  The programme will be adjusted to reflect this as soon as possible.

If you've always fancied having a go at writing, why not come and join us?  We're very friendly, and the whole ethos of the group is to EN-courage, not DIS-courage!  We meet in the Potton community centre, just down from the post office, on the 3rd Tuesday of every month.

The December meeting was scheduled to be the group's last as the Chair is moving away and is also elbows-deep in the fourth (and hopefully final) year of a doctorate in business admin.  But the good news is - the group lives on!  A decision was taken to move the meetings to quarterly, so that the Chair can travel back from deepest Northampton, and to review the success of this plan after the first meeting, to be held in March 2018.

So...same great group - but quarterly!  2018's program has accordingly been divided into quarters, so instead of writing on the single monthly theme, writers now have a choice of three for the quarter.

New members are always welcome. and once the Chair has finished her doctorate,, the meeting frequency might even be cranked up again!  So watch this space!

The group is now in its 9th year and is flourishing.  We have a core of regulars, key to any successful group, and also a number of people who drop in and out, coming to join in whenever they can.

The whole idea of the group is that it EN-courages and does not DIS-courage, and I think everyone would agree that it gives members exactly the right amount of friendly support.
